What makes a good leader?
A good leader is defined by character, consistency, and care for people. A good leader walks in integrity, has clear vision, sets healthy boundaries, and leads with wisdom. A good leader shows humility, takes accountability, and leads with empathy and compassion. They have courage, remain consistent, are self-aware and open-minded, and stay focused on growth not just their own, but the growth of others.
But above all, a good leader is led by God Himself.
Spiritually speaking, you cannot truly lead people if God is not leading you. It is impossible to lead well when you are not submitted to God’s guidance. The Bible tells us to seek God first before anything else. When you seek God first, everything else begins to fall into place. Your leadership aligns the way it should, because it is no longer driven by ego, pride, or self it is guided by God.
At that point, it’s no longer just you. It’s you and God.
That is why seeking God for wisdom is essential. God gives wisdom and knowledge freely. In the midst of confusion, God brings clarity. When you don’t know what to do, God shows you the way. He teaches you how to treat His people, how to lead with love, and how to walk in righteousness.
That that is what makes a good leader. Thank you and may God bless you all.
